Artwork Exhibited in Terminal D of BWI Marshall

“Maryland, My Maryland” is an exhibit located in Terminal D in BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport showcasing photography and pop art by 13 Maryland artists. The exhibit, presented by the Chesapeake Arts Center, will be up through the month of June.

WOW air Debuts at BWI Marshall

Skúli Mogensen, CEO of Iceland-based Wow air, addressed the crowd at the recent celebration of the airlines’ debut, which was held (appropriately enough) in the International Pier at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport.

JetBlue Adds Daily Flight Between BWI Marshall, Orlando

JetBlue Airways has announced that it will add round-trip flights between BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport and Orlando, Fla. The once-daily service is scheduled to start on Nov. 12.

The JetBlue service to Orlando is the second new BWI Marshall route announced by the airline this year. The carrier previously announced that it would add service to Fort Lauderdale, also scheduled to begin on Nov. 12. The new JetBlue service to Orlando will be operated with the airline’s A320 aircraft. JetBlue Airways first launched service at BWI Marshall in September 2009 with flights to Boston’s Logan International Airport.

Vacation Express Kicks Off Service at BWI Marshall to Grand Bahama Island

Vacation Express and BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport have announced exclusive, international, nonstop flights to Grand Bahama Island. The seasonal routes started on May 22, just in time for Memorial Day vacations, and will continue through Oct. 24.

In addition to the nonstop flights to Grand Bahama Island, Vacation Express will offer new, weekly, nonstop flights from BWI to Punta Cana, D.R., starting June 30. These six-night stays will continue until September, and then shift to five-night stays with flights departing on various days through Oct. 26.
