Spearman to Depart Dimensions, LRH; Enter Perkins

John Spearman, president and chief operating officer of Laurel Regional Hospital (LRH) and interim chief operating officer of Dimensions Healthcare System, will resign his position on April 8 to pursue other opportunities.

Spearman’s departure aligns with the start date of the health system’s new executive vice president and chief operating officer, Dr. Sherry Perkins. Perkins will have responsibility for all health system operations, and will place special attention on securing leadership for LRH as it continues its transition to an outpatient care facility.

CRTC Names Trio to Board

The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council (CRTC) has elected three new members to its board of directors. They are Lawrence Duncan, III, vice president for federal and state government relations and PAC affairs, Lockheed Martin; Dorothea Henderson, senior director of technology services and operations, Rockwell Collins’ Information Management Services unit; and Dana Liedholm, director of commercial partnerships, Comtech Telecommunications Group.

Neighbor Ride Board Adds Two

Neighbor Ride has welcomed two new members to its board of directors. They are Andy Cohen, a health services adviser formerly of the Brookings Institution’s Center for Health Policy; and Samir Palli, founder and principal consultant at Adventa Strategy, a boutique management consulting firm serving the automotive and hightech industries.

Binko Cited by TDR

Startup Maryland co-founder and CEO Michael Binko was recently honored by The Daily Record (TDR) as a 2016 Influential Marylander. Binko joins a group of 51 of the state’s top leaders who were cited by the newspaper’s editors for their leadership and significant contributions to the field of technology, among several others.

Smith Named at ICAT

Matthew Marino has been named manager of the Northwest Bank office at 1101 Maiden Choice Lane, Baltimore. He will be responsible for customer service, administration, lending and business development.

Nancy Briguglio and Scot Millen, founding partners Merle Ross has joined Brightworks Wealth Management, if Columbia, as a financial adviser. She has more than 25 years’ experience in the field.

Marriner Adds Melnick

Marriner Marketing Communications, of Columbia, has hired David Melnick as vice president, director of strategic partnerships. Before joining Marriner, Melnick was with Baltimore agency Siquis, where he served as the president for two years and vice president, director of account management, for the previous seven years.

FAI Announces Stinson as New Principal

Columbia-based FAI Wealth Management has announced that Mark Stinson has become a principal and shareholder. Stinson joined the firm as senior advisor in February 2015. He works with business owners, executives, technical professionals and clients with elderly parents.

Nitkin Named HCGH Chief of Staff

Howard County General Hospital (HCGH) has appointed David Nitkin as senior director of administration and chief of staff. In these roles, Nitkin will implement the agenda of HCGH President Steven Snelgrove by supporting initiatives and tasks that advance quality, safety and service in patient care.

Ames Advances at Greenberg Gibbons

Greenberg Gibbons has promoted Alicyn Ames to marketing and communications manager after she earned the Certified Marketing Director distinction from the International Council of Shopping Centers. Serenity Acres Names Semanco Clinical Director

Serenity Acres Treatment Center, which provides inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation services, named David Semanco clinical director. He oversees the center’s team of addiction and mental health counselors, develops clinical programs and works with clients in group and music therapy.

AACC’s Moore Honored for Commitment to Youth

Cassandra Moore, of Severna Park, assistant director of admissions and enrollment development at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC), received the Tribute to Women of Color Service to Youth Award for her commitment and service to young people in the community. She coordinates AACC’s Personal Registration Days, during which admissions staff visit county public and private high schools.
