Howard Bank Blogs for Central Maryland Businesses

Looking for some tips on growing your business? Marylandbankingblog.com could be the place to start. A new destination for a look at the local economy and advice for small and medium businesses, the blog is written by Howard Bank executives and their partners in the local community: accountants, attorneys, planners and other business advisers.

Blog contributors inside Howard Bank include President and CEO Mary Ann Scully, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Charles Schwabe, IT professional David Long, and Howard Bank Vice President and Marketing Manager Tim Rozalski.

The bank created the blog with local businesses in mind, Scully said. “It’s another way for us to offer our customers access to a high level of financing expertise, business experience and strategic perspective in the hands-on manner that our existing customers value so much.”

In recent posts, Scully offered practical advice with common sense secrets to success and historical insight on asset bubbles, while Long offered some expert advice on password security. One tip: Since long passwords are more secure than short ones, use the first or last letters of each word in an easily remembered phrase.

His example: “If money doesn’t grow on trees, then why do banks have branches?” or “IMDGOTTWDBHB?”
