Paint It! Ellicott City
Juried Plein Air Paint-Out and Exhibition
Paint-Out in Historic Ellicott City: July 8–10
Exhibit Reception at HCAC: July 11, 6–8 p.m.
Summer days are the perfect setting for the second annual plein air paint-out. En plein air, meaning “in the open air,” is the traditional practice of painting outdoors directly from life. Artists will paint in the picturesque historic district of Ellicott City. Don’t miss this opportunity to take a stroll along historic Ellicott City’s Main Street, dip into its many unique shops and glimpse the creative process at work.
Not satisfied being a spectator? Get in on the action by painting alongside the juried artists. For a small registration fee, you can participate in the paint-out and display your work the evening of the opening reception at HCAC.
