Big Bus Does Good Work

Most gigantic, custom-built, beautifully decorated buses have been fitted out for rock stars or sports legends to enable these members of American royalty to travel from place to place in style and comfort. Nighttime Care's custom-built, beautifully decorated bus has a much more important purpose, however.
"Its primary use is as a staff training vehicle," said Dr. Robert Graw, Nighttime's CEO and chief pediatrician. "Staff improvement is a constant challenge. We are dedicated to keeping our staff up-to-date on their training, and we educate them on an ongoing basis. This bus makes it easy to travel to each location and train the staff on-site. We can also outfit each new location from the bus.
"I designed the bus, which was manufactured by Prevost," Graw continued. "The build-out was completed at Superior Coach in Lebanon, Tenn. Our technology people also worked on it. The technology is so advanced that we can monitor our five locations from inside the bus. We can communicate with all of our offices from the bus, and they can communicate with us."
Besides being used internally for staff training and outfitting new locations, the bus has functions that are more public.
"We are prepared for medical disasters and are under contract to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). There is a trailer that the bus can tow that is outfitted with medical disaster equipment and supplies. Together the bus and trailer are 135 feet long; they are driven by professional drivers."
The bus also makes appearances at public events, including health fairs, where Nighttime Care's staff provides health information and performs health screenings.
"We are always excited when we can take the bus to an event and help out the public," said Graw. "The bus serves everyone very well for that."
The behemoth bus has 10 little brothers and sisters running around in the form of Volkswagen Beetles. Although not nearly as large, the "bugs" have been decorated similarly to the bus, with lots of stars and the Nighttime Care logo. They are used primarily as a marketing vehicle (pun intended), carrying marketing materials and ferrying the company's managers to events.
