New Book Explains The Business of IT Consulting

A new book by Mississauga computer professionals Sanjiv Purba and Bob Delaney describes how to acquire professional information technology (IT) consulting projects, and how to manage the business of being a consultant in a small, medium-sized or large firm. Called High Value IT Consulting: 12 Keys to a Thriving Practice, and published by Osborne McGraw-Hill, the book is now available across North America.

The book divides the business of consulting into four parts: benchmarking an existing practice and laying out a roadmap for success; marketing the practice and business development; delivering client engagements successfully; and managing the IT consulting group or the practice.
