UMBC Kauffman Entrepreneur Internship Program Receives Grant
The Shriver Center at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), in collaboration with The Alex. Brown Center for Science and Technology Entrepreneurship, has been awarded grant funding to continue the UMBC Kauffman Entrepreneur Internship Program.
The program provides undergraduate and graduate students with first-hand learning experiences in entrepreneurship. It is supported by the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneur Leadership, the nation's largest philanthropy devoted to entrepreneurial success at all levels from elementary school students to post-graduate entrepreneurs.
The program is searching for start-up and emerging organizations who are looking for interns. Internships will last one semester and students will work, on average 13 hours per week. The grant funding will be used to supplement the intern stipends.
Applications are due by July 22. For more information, call Christine Routzahn, project director at 410-455-2493 or visit their web site at www.umbc.edu/kauffman.
