Allcare of Maryland Opens in Ellicott City
Allcare of Maryland No Appointment Medical and Wellness Center has opened its second location, which is located in Ellicott City at 9396-D Baltimore National Pike. The trend toward convenient care and the success of its Columbia location prompted the opening of the new clinic.
"Many patients were asking us to serve this area of Howard County," said Margaret Kim, president and COO. "Our mission is to serve patients with the highest level of care, and this new clinic will help us to do just that."
The new location is open seven days a week: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is staffed full-time by physicians with extensive medical expertise. This staff includes Medical Director Dr. Victor Kim, who has more than 20 years experience directing emergency room services as a board certified emergency physician for major military and civilian hospitals in several states.
The clinic accepts most major insurance carriers as well as uninsured patients. A basic visit costs $135. Both locations, in Columbia off Oakland Mills Road and in Ellicott City across from Crab Shanty Restaurant, feature X-ray, EKG and lab services, with a pharmacy on premises. ROAR Launches to Empower Women
Columbia-based ROAR, one of the nation's first full-service personal branding consultancies geared specifically toward women, has officially launched.
ROAR's goal is empower women to understand the importance of strategically planning, promoting and managing their "personal brand," and to help them think of themselves not only as the CEO of their own lives, but also the chief marketing officer. "The truth is, most women can walk up to you and give you a brilliant elevator pitch on the company or product they represent in 30 seconds flat. However, if you asked them to do the same for themselves - to be able to answer who they are as a person and what they represent - they would be frozen in their tracks," says Jennifer Ransaw Smith, personal brand strategist and creator of ROAR. "My goal is to change that."
