"This bi-annual awards competition celebrates and recognizes the innovative achievements of regional commercial real estate developers, as well as companies that service our industry," said Cole Schnorf, president of NAIOP's Maryland Chapter. "Each winner represents a compelling example of how a unique challenge was overcome to realize a result that was economically, environmentally and aesthetically feasible.
Taylor is president of Corporate Development Services LLC, the development subsidiary of COPT. He has spent the past 30 years in the local commercial real estate industry. He is a former president of the NAIOP-Maryland Chapter and currently serves on the NAIOP national board of directors.
"Our Lifetime Achievement Award recipient symbolizes the lifelong dedication, professionalism, leadership and accomplishment that we all strive for. Dwight has the respect and admiration of our entire organization and he has led by example and achievement throughout his entire real estate career," said Schnorf.
Hughes was honored with the inaugural Legislative Award and in subsequent years this award will be named in his honor. "For many years, Pat spearheaded our organization's legislative efforts and was tireless in the efforts he so graciously gave to the NAIOP membership," Schnorf added. "It is fitting that future recipients receive the F. Patrick Hughes Legislative Award."
