Letter to the Publisher: Whew! We Made It

There was no doubt in my mind that we would make it - and we did. But it wasn't without blood, sweat and almost tears when the design computer went haywire the day before going to the printer.
There was one very hysterical - well, almost hysterical - publisher on the phone with the repair service, saying: "No, two days from now will not be OK."
But here it is. Inserted into this month's issue of The Business Monthly is our new publication, Maryland Entrepreneur Quarterly. It wasn't that we were bored or didn't have enough to do. It's just that the idea of a publication that promoted the entrepreneurial spirit was too good to pass up. Perhaps it's that very entrepreneurial spirit that made us move forward.
Once we began working on this concept, there was no turning back. Just about everyone we spoke to was enthused about the concept, had a story of their own and thought we had hit upon something that needed pursuing. Therefore, we did. And we hope you'll find it interesting and valuable.
Tell us what you think of it. By the way, on that note, we always welcome and are appreciative of letters from our readers. Your note may concern something on which we have reported or something you feel is worth mentioning to a large audience. Let us hear from you at news@bizmonthly.com.
We also welcome your news to share with our 75,000 readers. Send us information about your business - hires, promotions and new products, for example. Thank you for your continued support and readership.
