Building Bodies, Building a Business and Building a Family
Two nationally recognized physique athletes are focused on improving the fitness of Howard County residents - while building their business and their family at the same time.
Victor and Vicky Tringali have spent their entire lives living the fitness lifestyle. Victor, a nationally-known bodybuilder, placed as a national finalist five times from 2000 through 2007. He was awarded the title of Mr. Maryland in 2005 and won many other state, regional and national awards in the 15 years before his retirement from competition in 2007.
Vicky was an NCAA track athlete and later a national level figure competitor before becoming a mother in April 2009. Vicky, learning to strike a balance in her life as a working mom, can often be found at the gym accompanied by the couple's daughter, Gianna.
Together, Victor and Vicky, otherwise known as TeamVic, provide fitness services including private training, nutritional counseling and fitness education at their two Howard County facilities: American Fitness Express in Glenelg and Team Vic Fitness in Elkridge. Their approach often finds the family of three together at the gym, assisting clients.
"Vicky and I have dedicated our lives to improving the fitness of others, including our daughter in what seems like a natural progression, "said Victor Tringali.
"Living a fit lifestyle is a priority for us, and we enjoy sharing our knowledge with others," said Vicky Tringali. "Helping other families incorporate fitness into their everyday lives is something we strive to do as we know the challenges they face well."
Besides their extensive experience, the Tringalis offer a wealth of knowledge based on their education. Victor has a B.S. in exercise physiology from Salisbury University, as well as a C.S.C.S, from the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Vicky has a B.S. from Salisbury University and a master's degree from Wilmington College, as well as a certification from the American Council on Exercise.
The fitness duo brings a passion for health and fitness promotion to Howard County, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit to the county business community. The couple is the first to own and operate multiple facilities within Howard County.
